Ron Axtell brings
over 30 years of Organizational Design and Development Experience to the
Whitewater Team. Ron, a Ph. D. in Instructional Psychology, is President
of Corporate Systems Design (CSD) in Sandy Utah. CSD was designed to
enrich lives by creating self-designing, high-performing organizations.
He has consulted on dozens of some of the most successful corporate
system design and redesign projects in the country. Through his CSD
Workshop , thousands or executives and internal change agents from
hundreds of corporations in have been trained in the principles and
methodology of dramatic System Design and Change. Ron is also the author
of The Corporate Systems Design Handbook: A systems design approach to
focus, align, and implement reinvented, redesigned, process-centered,
high-performance, visionary, learning organizations.
Ron began his career
with Courseware as an Instructional designer and manager conducting
full-scale instructional design and development projects in a wide range
of content and media. Courseware designed the training systems for the
astronauts of the Space Shuttle for NASA. He joined the Faculty of
National University in 1982 to design and teach the Instructional
Analysis (Task Analysis and Development of Learning Objectives IT 630)
course of the Masters of Science in Education Degree with elective
emphasis in Instructional Technology.
In 1985 he founded
the OSD Alliance, Inc. in Salt
Lake City, Utah.
Organizational Systems Design (OSD) was founded to amalgamate Strategic
Management, Total Quality Management, and Organization Design / Redesign
models and methodologies in order to design high-performance
organizations more effectively and efficiently. Ron consulted on
full-scale organization design / redesign of dozens of manufacturing and
service companies; consulted with top leadership to create strategic
organizational architecture to identify and prioritize redesign needs of
their corporations; and trained and certified internal change agents to
help companies internalize the capability for corporate redesign /
transformation. Ron designed and delivered the IBM NAD Business Process
Management workshop to hundreds of Quality Managers throughout IBM.
Developed and delivered in-house and quarterly public workshop entitled
-- The OSD Workshop; Delivered The OSD Advanced Course in-house and
publicly.
Ron and the OSD
Alliance sponsored the annual Conference of Organizational Systems
Designers for corporate organization designers held in Washington, D.C.
for seven years featuring the foremost theorists, authors, practitioners,
organizations, and consultants in the industry. Attended by thousands of
executives and internal change agents from the U.S.
and Europe.
